Celebrating our Survivor Advisory Board

We’re proud to introduce our brilliant Survivor Advisory Board, who have just celebrated their first year with Ella’s!

This board is made up of five women with lived experience of trafficking, exploitation and violence, who meet four times a year to help guide our work.

The group was set up last year with help from Rosa’s Stand With Us Fund with a grant of nearly £25,000.

At a recent meeting, the group reflected on their experience on the board so far, as shown in these photos. One of the women wrote, ‘I am so glad that we are able to turn our pain into power and use our experiences to help other women.’

None of these women are or have been supported by Ella’s, so they bring an unbiased opinion. We’re committed to seeing survivors at the front of all we do, so we are extremely grateful for the time and invaluable perspective that this board brings to our work

I am so glad that we are able to turn our pain into power and use our experiences to help other women.

Thank you so much to every member of our Survivor Advisory Board. You are truly remarkable women.
