Your support will play a massive part in making our work with survivors possible. We are so grateful for every gift.

If you can, please give monthly to Ella’s. Our work with survivors is both urgent and long-term, so monthly donations are the most effective way to support us. Otherwise, please give a one-off gift of whatever you can afford. Every donation matters. Thank you.

Your gift can do so much

Your donation will enable us to continue to run our safe houses, providing women with a safe place to live and begin to recover from the pain of trafficking and exploitation. And it’s your gifts that make it possible for our trained caseworkers to be there for survivors, supporting their long-term rehabilitation and helping them build safe lives.

  • A regular gift of £13 a month for a year could cover support work translation costs for a survivor who doesn’t yet speak English.

  • A regular gift of £45 a month for a year could fund 140 hour’s worth of tailored, intensive one to one support. This support is crucial for survivors, enabling their rehabilitation and giving them the tools to build safe lives.

  • A one-off gift of £45 could pay for a celebration when one of our safe house residents has a birthday, including a card and present, snacks and a cake. Most of the women we work with tell us that their Ella’s party is the first time their birthday has been celebrated in a long time, possibly ever.

  • A one-off gift of £80 could pay for towels, bedding, toiletries and flowers for a new safe house resident.

Your generosity will help the women of Ella’s recover, stay free from exploitation and flourish. Thank you.

Marie’s story

‘This is the best place I’ve lived,’ says Marie. ‘Since I came to Ella’s, I haven’t been admitted into hospital once.’

Marie is a survivor of trafficking, still in her early 20s. She grew up in another country and was sexually exploited from childhood. She was never really free.

When she arrived at Ella’s, Marie’s mental health was in a bad way and she lacked the basic life skills she needed to live safely.

A year later, Marie is living a different story.

The care and community she’s experienced at Ella’s, together with the mental health support we’ve helped her to access, have changed everything for her. ‘I used to feel completely isolated,’ says Marie.

Marie is still living in our safe house, but has reached the stage where we can help her make goals for her future. We’ve supported her to take up a part-time job in a supermarket, and begin studying design at university.

Your donations make it possible for us to give women like Marie the urgent and long-term help they need to recover from trauma and build lives that are safe and free. Please give if you can.
